Samsung Galaxy Tab2 7.0 Student edition had a limited time offer which available only between 17th August and 1st September. People who looked forward to buying the Student Edition had to jump in. The special attraction about this student version is that it is a complete bundle priced at $250 with added accessories at no cost. The accessories included in the bundle are the dock-able keyboard and a USB adapter which has been designed to allow the device to connect with other USB devices.
Looking at the tablet, it is a pretty reasonable device and ranks among the best Android ICS tablets in 7 inch size. Actually many people thought that Samsung’s Student Edition has been developed in resistance to Google’s Nexus 7 sales. But this assumption was dumped when Samsung launched a better 7 inch device to give a tough competition to Nexus 7. There are few other devices which may be holding some competition to Samsung in 7 inch range, like Kindle Fire 2 and Acer Iconia Tab A110, both of which will be released later this year.
The highlights of the new generation tablets ranging in 7 inch size include better processors for smooth working of tablets, the latest operating systems like Android Jelly Bean and higher screen resolutions, all of which have been developed within the price tag of $200 to $250. At this moment, Nexus 7 is at the top amongst 7 inch tablets but Galaxy Student Edition is thought to provide a serious competition to Nexus in the upcoming weeks, as Samsung is also offering front and back cameras and MicroSD card slot, both of which are not offered by the Nexus 7. The additional accessories of Keyboard and USB adapter have been made available free of cost, which has made Samsung Student Edition a hot cake. Despite of a low powered CPU and lower screen resolution, Samsung Student Edition is surely going to be sold viciously.
Along with the hardware, Polaris Office also comes pre-installed with the bundle, as Samsung is trying the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 tablet to be a great choice for students:
“The education market is a significant priority for Samsung, and we are very pleased to deliver a bundle that is sure to be appealing to just about any student at a very competitive price point,” explained Travis Merrill, Director of Marketing, Galaxy Tab, Samsung Electronics America. “A busy student can achieve a PC-like setup in the dorm room, yet still pop the Galaxy Tab 2 out of the dock and slip it into a pocket for usage while on the go. It truly is the smarter way to learn.”
