Next Issue Expands to iOS
Next Issue Media, which have gained their fame as a monthly subscription service provided to Android users, namely by paying a fixed fee to get any magazine from a long list of publishers, have now launched their app for iOS devices as well. With the launch of this app, Apple users can gain access to thirty nine magazines from Conde Nast, Times, News Corp, Meredith and Hearst, for a flat fee. The company is also said to expand its list of titles by the end of this year.

The uses of this new app are manifold. One convenience is that users have to provide one single payment for reading the content. Another functional use is that now only one app is enough to go through all the favorite magazines. Titles include current affairs and back list from famous magazines including GQ, Self, Vogue and Wired, which are also available readily through this app. Next Issue is also going to provide a 30 day trial for their unlimited plan. Those users who have subscribed to the print issues can take up the digital subscription free of charge in most cases or for a very small fee.
Morgan Guenther, CEO of Next Issue Media detailed “With the unlimited plans offering access to our entire catalog from a single intuitive App and personal library, we’re delivering magazines the way consumers want to read them. It’s like having an entire magazine rack stocked with only the very best titles, but you can browse or read any issue, any time, on your iPad.”
It is interesting to know that Next Issue offers a number of different subscription packages. There is an Unlimited Basic plan which includes access to some monthly published titles and weekly titles, also including back issues. This package is available for $9.99 per month. The Unlimited Premium Plan offers all the titles in the list and also adds weekly and back issues in its subscription. This package can be accessed for $14.99 per month. An individual magazine can still be subscribed for a price between $1.99 to $9.99 for every month. In addition to these packages, individual magazine issues are also available for $2.49 to $5.99 for every issue.
